This article was interesting although I have never experienced the bitterness of drinks after brushing because I usually brush after breakfast in the mornings.
I forgot to add on to my other comment, it is interesting that just by coincidence that the chemical that has the effect on your taste buds is in your toothpaste. I wonder why scientists didn't figure out about it before toothpaste was invented.
This article topic was a little weird, and most people probably don't wonder why things taste bad after brushing teeth. But anyways, I do not like sodium laureth sulfate. Maybe it would be better to get other toothpaste. Also, Brandon: scientists probably did know about why things tasted bad after brushing teeth, but decided to tell people at this point.
Yes, I have experienced this feeling, especially with lemonade and apple juice. I always just assumed that something in the toothpaste did it, but never really researched it. However, I am shocked that it actually makes the bitter sensation worse; bitter tastes were originally designed to warn you that something wrong is in your food. I wonder why your body would try to mellow the sensation when it means that something is wrong, thus you can't detect it.
I thought this was really cool yet disgusting at the same time, I mean just think of it, a dogs mouth is cleaner than yours. I think its cool that inside of the dogs mouth have enzymes that help keep their mouths clean!
