The TAMDAR can be very useful when trying to predict severe weather conditions. This could make it easier to warn people and keep people safe from whatever nature throws at people. It is very creative how they take advantage of the low-flying planes that go straight through the bad weather. This is just a guess, but they could send planes over the ocean and could also predict hurricanes.
I thought that was a great article and video. It would be a great idea to put it on larger planes because the weather could definitely effect them. I think it could be extremely useful incase of bad weather.
Well maybe they could predict offshore weather patterns that may move inland so that they can provide better weather forecasts. They could also track forming hurricanes and evacuate cities faster.
not long ago there was in accident with a plane around central america went it was flying the plane dissapeared most believe that the plane was struck with lightning and if that is the truth these forcast will help respond to this inciddent this great for some of the safety issues with planes
I thought that this article was AWESOME! I also agree with Ara and Brandon F they should make the plane larger! Overall, I thought that this article was amazing!
It is amazing how much science is advancing. Soon the weather man will tell the weather and for once it will be right if science keeps improving like this. I like how the article and video explained a lot about how the device works.
The TAMDAR could be useful. An idea that I had is that you just attach one to a commercial jet, so if the weather is getting serve, they would know to land.
Robert I agree with you. I think when the bigger airplanes are descending, you could use TAMDAR to help the smaller planes. Maybe they could make something that connects the information from one airplane to another for information…
Eli that was an airbus A330 with malfunctioning pitot tubes that should have been removed 2 years before, Air France should have gotten those removed. It disappeared 4 hours into the flight. The pitot tubes froze up, causing the computers to malfunction. I think the pitot tubes had the same purpose as TAMDAR but TAMDAR doesn't have tubes that stick outside of the airplane, helping and benefitting the airplane, instead of helping it, but the airplane would still be at a small risk.

I agree. I think they should add it to larger planes for when they are descending for weather conditions.

Even the turbulence from those high altitudes is good for checking the weather.
Brandon.. I think that is a good idea, but why do you need the weather of somewhere where human's don't live?

Yes but Brandon F, why would you need the forecast for when there is no land?
