That doesn't really make sense to me at all(or like I said before, I'm dumb), so will someone explain to me why would the spaceship passing in front of the planet make the image of he planet warp out of shape?
That was a really cool video. I do agree with Brandon because why would it warp out of its shape just because a spaceship went through it. Overall they did a great job making the video.

It would warp out like that because what you see is the warp field passing in front of the planet. The planet is not actually changing, as the title states "Warp Drive in Front of Planet" Sorry it doesn't have a full explanation.
So what you're saying is the spaceship's warp field is just passing in front our view of the planet and blocking part of the planet? I thought it was kind of black hole-ish thing(not a black hole, but you now what I mean).
That was really cool, but I didnt really get it. the ship looked like it had some sort of bubble around it.
This was really confusing to me. I agree with Brandon and Dharan. It was cool to watch but hard to understand.
What was the main theme of the vidio. It was interesting when the "bubble" around the ship made all the other planets look like they were transparent. It was cool and confusing all at the same time.

People, as a follow-up to my last comment, you have to read the article about the warp drive in the history in order to better understand the video.
This video was so awesome!!! I loved the music: Sounds like a nitrome game song. Anyways, I agree with sophia about seeing a little "bubble" around this spacesphip or something. I still think it's awesome.
I agree with Etta. It is very confusing and strange. What is it about? I don't think it is even about science. The person who made the video just did some fancy thing to do the video.
It's not that hard to get peoples! There's a warp field around the spaceship when in warp drive. When the warp field passes in front of the planet, it blocks out part of it, making it look distorted.
I was a little weirded out by that warp drive effect and all. It was maybe just a little strange! I agree with Etta. I means really WHAT THE HECK WAS THIS THING ALL ABOUT!?!?!?!?!
Thank you Declan for that comment, I finally understand what the video was trying to show you. It was very interesting to watch, and it kept my attention. I still do have one more question about this video. What does the V=...... stand for?
The video itself was really interesting. The effect used to show the warping was very cool. I wish there had been an explanation of why that was happening rather than just a video. It did not really give me anything to think about. I was just a bit lost at the end because I didn't really know what to look for or observe, besides the fact that the planets warped. I think I did understand that when they showed the v=__c in the top right corner, I think that was trying to show how the planets warped with differentiating "v's". I do not know what "v" specifically stands for, but I would have if there was an explanation.
First of all, the video was pretty cool. But it didn't seem clear of what the "space shuttle" or whatever it was, was doing, so I couldn't understand how science has to do with it.

That was really cool. The animation was good and the song was good. But I didn't really get the point of it. I mean it was just cool stuff.
Wow! That was really interesting, and it looked cool, but I thought it didn't make any sense. if something went through a planet like earth, it would fly through the sky, not ruin and deform the shape of the planet. I didn't think it was a good video for the reasons above. So… all in all, I agree with all who didn't agree with this video.
I don't really understand what the educational purpose was. So they made the planet move in a strange way. I didn't get any thing from it.
I thought it looked pretty cool, but I don't really get it. What was it trying to show us? What's a warp field? They should have told us about what benefit it had, but they didn't. I like the music though!
I think it needs something telling you what's going on. THe only way I new what was going on was from the title. Not that I know a lot about warp drives, but still... Overall, I think it needs more information.

This was really interesting and also the music made it really intense. I really liked how each time the different planet showed I say the different speed our how fast it went by. Altogether I really enjoyed the clip but it was kind of interesting and it didn't make sense but it was still coo;

I thought that this was a very cool video if you understood it. For all the people who don't understand, I'll try my best to explain. Imagine sitting on a surfboard in the ocean. If there are no waves you can't surf, right? Well, think of what happens when a wave forms. Water in front of is pulled back by the current and the pressure in the water increases. Then, the pressure in the water is released and the result is water spewing out of the back of the wave, forming a huge ripple. If you are surfing, you use that ripple to propel you further. That is the concept of warp drive. Imagine the still ocean being space. What the space ship does is it uses gravity to suck in the space in front of it. This makes the space act like the pressurized water directly in front of the wave. Once the ship has passed the warped space it created, it releases the pressure and causes a spacial ripple. This spacial ripple is what propels the space ship forward at amazing speeds. What you see in the video is what a warp drive would look like in front of the planet. The "bubble" around the space ship is the warped space. It distorts your view of the planet because the light in that space is warped as as well. If you watch the video again, imagine looking at a surfer from birds eye view. The space ship is the surfboard, and the space is the ocean. Trust me, you'll see what I mean. Also, for anybody who is wondering what V= stands for, V is velocity. For anybody who doesn't remember what velocity is, it's your speed and the direction your going. I hope that this was helpful. I ADVIZE ANYBODY WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE VIDEO TO READ THIS.
