I thought that this could be useful in the future to prevent nutrient-deficiencies, except it sounds like an extremely risky process at this point. What if the barriers were exposed to heat so they broke and the nanoparticles stayed put? What happens freezing the barriers weakens the atomic makeup and it shatters before it enters your body? I think that scientists should make sure it is safe before they mass-market it.
This article was interesting although I thought that it would talk more about the donut part(that was what I was looking forward to). This could be useful for making healthier foods in the future. I really don't understand what Howard is saying about the risks of it but that's probably just Howard(or maybe I'm dumb).
This definitely was a great article that could help us to avoid obesity. I agree with Brandon because they didn't talk to much about the actual donut. We should definitely use this with other foods and not just donuts.
Even though it would sound good having donuts everyday and know that it's healthy, using technology for food is too much. I think we should just keep food the way it is and not let any technology interfere. How do we know how safe it is to eat technology? I agree with Howard it is risky. In my case, I agree with one of the scientists in the article how this could be very unsafe. Some desserts like dark chocolate are naturally healthy!
First of all, healthy and donut should never be in the same sentence. Second of all, it was cool article that could help us in the future. Sorry Howard I agree with Brandon I don't understand the risk thing. So Brandon your not alone. Like Dharan said: this could help with obesity.
Claire: are you pro or con? Your saying that healthy and donut shouldn't be in the same sentence. Now your saying it's good for fighting obesity. Pro or Con??? I'm 100% with Howard on this: This is way too risky.
I agree with Howard and Ara. Instead of wasting all of the money for research and all of that time, you can just NOT EAT DONUTS(although that sounds nearly impossible). They are trying to still eat donuts while staying healthy, but like Ara said, you can just eat something that is already sweet and healthy for you like dark chocolate! Why waste that time and money?
I really don't agree with this article for many reasons. First of all, adding chemicals and technology to a doughnut doesn't make it healthy. We shouldn't be using technology on food. If people think that they can eat as many doughnuts as they want and not become overweight, than they will begin to think that they can eat other unhealthy foods and not get overweight, ect. The USA is the most obese country in the world, and we really don't need any more obese people. It's unhealthy, and that's NOT the reputation we want for this country.
This article gave good info and how it can help people I also agree with brandon f because what howard is saying is not doing much our like brandon said I am dumb but this was still a good article
I think this idea is wonderful along with a lot of other kids in the world. Everyone loves a doughnut, but a doughnut that is healthy even a mom or dad wont say no to that. But just like Howard said, it sounds like an extremely risky process at this point, I agree. They should definitely test the doughnuts before marketing, because some of the chemicals in them might be bad for the human society.
I thought that this article was cool, but it had to talk more about the donuts instead of what the scientists think. I also think that they should make sure that it is safe before they put it in major products, or else the next time I eat a donut I might get some rare disease. The technology will definitely help us in the future, after they make it a lot safer. My favorite part of the article was the picture of the donuts. :)

Dharan imagine eating artificial healthyness.... (if that's a word) It's like milk with rBST. Not as healthy as real milk.

I agree with Dharan, we should try testing it with other foods, overall i thought this article was okay....

I agree with Dario. It might be really unsafe, and it might even kill you!!! I wouldn't eat that type of donut.
