I've played this game a lot before. I think it's really realistic. I really liked it because it asks you questions as you play, so you know why something is happening. I think it's interesting that you need to cut off some bone and use other tools that carpenters use to make a knee joint feel better. I thought that was interesting. The pictures--I thought they were gross. I really enjoyed the whole game, I thought everything was really well programmed and animated. Overall, I give this game 5 stars.
I thought this game was realistic and really fun. It shows you how hard it is to perform knee surgery. It is fun but it can be gross when you first see it. I would definitely recommend this game to everyone because of how much fun it is.
I thought this game was interesting because it gives you a ruff outline of what it is to be a surgeon. It also gave you step by step instuctions so you weren't confused. I also liked when it gave you a choice to sew of staple the knee. I would like there to be more sections like that though I don't know if it is possible to add more. After playing this game I'm pretty sure I don't want to be a surgeon!
This is a cool game because it actually takes you into how surgeons operate on patients and what kinds of tool they use to get the job done. Before I didn't know anything about surgery, but now I do! The game is very interactive and it's helpful that they quiz you on WHY they do things like why they protect the surgery area with wraps and drapes. That's just their way of making sure you know everything, and if you don't, to teach you something! Maybe something they could do is when you scroll over the tools, a window would pop up saying what the tool does and some situations the tool is used in. To expand the game, they could have different types of surgeries i addition to the knee surgery.
I know Brandon isn't it really interesting? I'm happy about the anesthesia so that the patients don't feel the hammering and bone saw-ing in their knee...
Well, this game is fun and interesting, and im glad they didn't try to make it VERY realistic.....because im not sure who'd want to be cutting open a realistic knee :) which is why it's fun, because you WANT to cut open then knee, and you WANT to know what each tool does. Its a good balance of what a game should have.
Well, like Ara, I have played this game a lot. I find this game better than Edhead's Virtual Hip Replacement and Virtual Hip Resurfacing because the majority of this one is the actual surgery (not that I want to be a surgeon or anything when I grow up; it's just that that's the most exciting part). The Hip Replacement and Resurfacing make you do all of the deciding of what size prosthetics you have to use. Also, like all of Edhead's Virtual Surgeries, this one had a "nurse" guiding you not only with subtitles, but also with actual sound. Overall, this was a very fun game.
Okay, I finally got this game to work.... I really liked the game and how they taught you every single step to do before the surgery and when you are doing the surgery. Overall, I liked the game!
I remember playing this game last year, and throughout the past year. I find it a very realistic game that really simulates knee surgery very well. The pictures, have never seemed to appear pretty, and, unless you have a strong will and stomach, don't suggest looking at the photos. The tools were easy to use, and I really enjoyed the game, and recommend it for all ages!
I wasn't able to get to the link, but I found a way around it. I liked learning about diferent tools, but personally, I think it was a little gross. Very Fun though!
In lower school Ms. Mulin showed us this game to. I have always loved it because, I will get ahead for being a doctor in my older years. It is very interesting to see how many tools there are and what they do. It is a great way to learn about the body parts.
I've played this game before, but I find it interesting that they use clamps and saws to cut the bone. It was kind of creepy knowing that they use a drill.
I liked this because it really teaches you how surgery is made and if you play this game several times like me, you may actually remember how to do it. It can help us later in a career, and even if it doesn't, at least we know something extra!

Dharan-- I agree with you that it can be a little gross at first. I've literally played it 20 times before it was posted so I'm used to it.

Don't worry Brandon, there will be more interactive surgery games on the blog later :)

I COULDN'T GET TO THE GAME! IT WAS REALLY CONFUSING! I'M TRYING AGAIN!

Emery I've also done the hip surgery but once. I'm going to do it sometime soon hopefully
Ms. Ghazarian, from the same website there is hip surgery... just to let you know!

I really liked this game because it really gets you active. The game doesn't do it for you. It really gets you involved
