I don't know what they were using before this to diagnose heartburn, but this is an interesting way of doing so. It cool how they make a microscope small enough to go inside INSIDE the human body! With a 95% accuracy rate, it would be a good choice when you have heartburn.

This reminds me of an episode of the TV program "Food Detectives" in which they were finding the best cure for heartburn (I don't remember the results). Anyways, based on the diets of Americans these days (trans-fats galore!) it is like we are asking for chronic heartburn. I think that this new imaging camera in the next 20 years will dramatically increase human (particularly Western society) safety and well-being, as well as other diseases and disorders.

I found this article really interesting, because before now I thought you could only get heart burn from eating to much food that was too greasy. I also found it interesting how they had those extra articles on how digestion works, and what a laser actually is.

I agree with elijah because I thought that heart burn was created by eating greasy food too. This imaging camera will help humans with heart burn and other sicknesses.

I have to agree with Elijah. I really was intresting how the extra articles taught us more. The author explained everything really well. I enjoyed it!

That is just plain amazing. I never heard about a microscope that could go inside your body. That is pretty cooI. I think that i would like to go into medicine someday.

I really liked that article, although I figured watching the video AND reading the article wasn't that good of an idea: they say exactly the same things. I was truly impressed by the technology available for heartburn. I thought that heartburn had actually nothing to do with food, but I thought it could be provoked by doing to much exercising when having a lung defect such as asthma.

Wow that was very interesting. I bet doing that can help millions of people like Anne. And I think more medical advancement will branch from this discovery.

i agree with brandon, it is an interesting way to cure heartburn. chronic heartburn. i cant believe there is a microscope small enough to actually fit down the esophogus, which dosen't have much of an opening.

I'm happy that I don't have heart burn..... I don't want to feel a burning in my chest every time that I eat. I think it's interesting that just a little blue light can help detect a heart burn. I do agree with Elijah and everyone who agreed with him. It would be hard to live like that.

Little blue lights can do a lot more than just help you see with that microscope, they can use it to cover your teeth with plastic (I have it covering my 6 year old molars, they put the plastic in your teeth, then they shine a blue light on it. In my instance, my 6-year molars are too rough to clean, as is everyones, so they block it off with some plastic).
