This article was interesting and very well written. I can't believe that there is another element, element 117, to add to the chart. I wonder, when they find after research, what element 117 will react well and badly with, and if there are places it can be used (the way that iron is used).

If they can't find any practical uses for a element, there really is no use for it, so why bother?

Wow! It's really amazing to me that there is another element. I honestly though that we wouldn't find anymore. I was really suprised!

Wow, they added another element, element 117. More importantly, if they kept mashing the isotopes with the atoms and so on, it would get more heavier and stable. I sort of agree with Brandon F, element 117 doesn't have any practical use, but it still should have the right to be called an element. After all, it does have an atomic number.

@ Brandon Fong: If eventually we do discover more elements, it would be a fantastic discovery if we could find elements with a solid electron shell, then as they said in the article, we could create super-stable elements, possibly even more stable than the standard ones. This could be useful in the advancement of power and architecture, with braces that could not be compensated.

I think that it is really interesting that we found another element. I agree with Maya and Psalm. I too wonder what it will react with and what we could use it for, and I still think that it is amazing that we found another element to add to the periodic table of elements.
